 CAUTION :

Do not bring Mobile phones or other Communication devices, Calculators etc. to the examination premises. Any infringement of these instructions by any candidate will entail appropriate action against him/her.


  1. Do not make any unnecessary marks/remarks on Computerized (Optical Mark Reader) Application Form. Any Additional marks on the form may result in rejection of the application.
  2. Do not fold, staple, pin, wrinkle or scribble any thing on the COMPUTERIZED (OMR) APPLICATION FORM. Do not paste any piece of paper anywhere on Computerized (OMR) Application Form.
  3. In case information asked for in a particular Block/Box/Circle is not applicable, the same should be left blank.
  4. Box/Block once written by the candidate in the application form using Blue/Black Ball point pen can not be changed.
  5. Incomplete/improperly filled in application form will be rejected without further communication.
  6. Candidate should write in CAPITAL LETTERS the relevant information in the Boxes/Blocks provided at the top with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen and darken the corresponding circles underneath completely using HB PENCIL only, as the machine picks up only dark pencil marks. Do not use ink pen or ball pen to darken the Circles. In case of any discrepancy in circle marking and corresponding text in the Box, the Circle darkened will be taken as final.
  7. Paste a recent color photograph inside the Box provided.
  8. Color Photograph, Signature and Address etc. will be scanned by a machine which reads only clear images from the specified areas of the form.
  9. Candidate should put his/her signature in the Box provided at the bottom of the 1st page with Blue/Black Ball Point pen only.
  10. One form is applicable for only one examination.
  11. Do not apply for the examination prior to its notification.
  12. Do not leave any relevant column blank. INCOMPLETE APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.
  13. Candidates should use only international form of Indian numerals in filling up of the form and writing the code, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. Code numbers written otherwise will not be considered.
  14. If any relevant column(s) are left unfilled by not darkening the Circles or more than one Circle is darkened in a column, the application will be rejected. Ensure that the entries made with pen in the Boxes correspond exactly with the ones shown by darkening of circles.
  15. No addition / alteration in the entries made in the form is allowed at any subsequent stage.
  16. Do not use the photocopy of the application form.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE COMPUTERIZED (OMR) APPLICATION FORM (COLUMN WISE)


  1. Name of the applicant: Write your name in the Boxes and darken the corresponding Circles underneath. Start with First name then leave one blank box each between the First name, Middle name (abbreviate, if necessary) and Surname.


EXAMPLE: – If the name is ANIRUDH SINGH SHEKHAWAT, then fill up as follows.



  1. SEX: Indicate the sex (Male/Female) by darkening the appropriate Circle underneath.
  2. Year of Exam: Write the year of exam in the Box and also darken the appropriate Circles underneath.
  3. Date of Birth: Write the date, month and year of your birth as per English calendar as recorded in Secondary School Leaving Certificate / High School Certificate / Equivalent in the boxes and also darken the corresponding Circles underneath.
  4. Category: Indicate the category as per the list of categories mentioned in the box by darkening the circle against the category the candidate belongs to.Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates will fill up PH Category in addition to the relevant category i.e., General, SC or ST. EXAMPLE An SC candidate belonging to PH category will darken the Circles against SC as well as against PH. If no circle is darkened the candidate will automatically be considered as belonging to the General Category and will be considered against the vacancies for General Category.
  5. Application Form Number: The Box for Application Form Number is strictly for official purpose only, Nothing should be written over it, Leave the said space blank.
  6. Name of the Examination applied for: Write the name of the examination in the Box as per the list of examinations mentioned below and also darken the corresponding Circle against the name of the examination. One Application form is valid for one examination only for which it is procured.

  1. Age Relaxation Sought: Indicate the age relaxation claimed in the Box by writing ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ and also darken the corresponding Circle underneath.
  2. Name of Father/Mother/Husband (Use Capital Letters only): Write Father’s/ Mother’s/ Husband’s name in the boxes. Start with First name then leave one Box blank then write, Middle name (abbreviate, if necessary) leave one box before writing the Surname.
  3. Name of the Applicant and Complete Address for Correspondence: Candidate should write his/her name, complete address and pin code inside the box only for correspondence. This address will be used for official record and dispatch of Admit Card etc. Please note that this address Block will be scanned electronically therefore, it should be written very clearly with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen in capital letters only. Later on the request for change of address for correspondence once filled in will not be entertained without valid reasons received before 3 weeks of the commencement of the examination.
  4. Photograph: Paste (do not staple) a 3cm´4.5cm size RECENT COLOR PHOTOGRAPH only. Do not get the photograph attested and the photograph should not be larger than the space provided for pasting.
  5. Application Form Number: The Box for Application Form Number is strictly for official purpose only, Nothing should be written over it, Leave the said space blank.
  6. E-mail ID, if any: Candidate may write his/her e-mail Id if any available very clearly in the Box provided. Various information dissemination/communication during the recruitment process are likely to be sent on the individual e-mail-Ids during the recruitment activities, However the said information will also be made available on the Department of Posts website (www.indiapost.gov.in) from time to time.
  7. Mobile Number, if any: Candidate may write his/her valid mobile numbers if any available very clearly in the box provided, SMS alerts may be sent on the individual mobile numbers during recruitment activity.
  8. Signature of the applicant: Once the form is filled up completely in all respects, candidate should put his/her signature with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen in the box provided. The candidates signature shall be scanned for the official record and used subsequently during the examination process.

NOTE :–

City of Examination: The Departmental Examination for promotion to PS Group B, Sr. Postmaster, Assistant Engineer, Inspectors of Posts, Junior Engineer and Post Master Grade-I will be held in the cities where the Circle headquarters are situated.


  1. Present Post held: The candidate should indicate his/her present Post held by him/her on regular basis by darkening the corresponding Circle.
  2. Date of Appointment / Promotion in the Present Post on regular basis: Write the date, month and year of Appointment / Promotion in the present post held on regular basis in the Department as per English calendar in the Boxes and also darken the Circles underneath.
  3. No. of attempts availed for the Post for which application is being submitted: Indicate the total number of attempts already availed of by the candidate for the post for which he/she is applying by darkening the corresponding Circles underneath.


DECLARATION: Candidate should carefully read and sign the declaration. He/she should also write the place / date in his/her application form. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT SIGNED DECLARATION WILL BE REJECTED OUTRIGHTLY.


HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FORM:–


1. Before submitting the filled in application ensure :

  1. That you have filled all the relevant columns correctly in the original copy of the Application Form.
  2. That change responses, if required, erase darkened circles completely.
  3. That you have pasted your recent color photograph firmly in the space provided.
  4. That you have signed the Declaration and mentioned the date and place is the application form.
  5. That you are submitting the Application Form to the Divisional Superintendent/Nodal Officer.


  1. DISPATCH: After filling up the application form, fold it at two places as indicated by dotted lines on the form. Insert it along with the filled in acknowledgement card supplied to you with the brochure and submit the same to Divisional Superintendent/Nodal officer. Only one application and one acknowledgement card should be put in the envelope. Envelope containing OMR application form in open condition will be put inside the an other envelope. After closing the outer envelope only with the good quality adhesive /gum the same will be handed over to the Divisional Superintendent/Nodal Officer for onwards submission.


ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Candidate will get the acknowledgement card submitted alongwith OMR Application Form by post. Candidate will be able to view the status of receipt and acknowledgement of his/her application form by logging in to the website www.indiapost.gov.in using their application form number, where the acknowledgement slip will be generated online which he/she can download/take the printout.

  1. LAST DATE AND HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FORM:


a. The last date for submission of application shall be notified by the department inviting the applications.


b. The candidates should submit his/her application well in advance to the Nodal Officer so as to reach CMC Limited by the closing date. Applications received after last date will not be entertained or returned under any circumstances If false / Incorrect Information is to found at any stage of the Recruitment Process, the candidature will stand summarily rejected and appropriate action would be taken against the candidate.

  1. ENQUIRES: Candidate should send their enquiries related to the application submitted by him on the e-mail examenquiry2011@gmail.com . The queries will be responded within 72 hours and all information related to the individual enquires will be appended and made available to the candidate which they can view by logging in to the web site using their application form number.

  2. The candidate should login with their OMR Application Form No. to get the relevant information related to his/her eligibility for candidature , /admit card/date and schedule of examination/venue of examination/duplicate admit card
  3. The candidate must visit the web site on regular basis till the last date of examination so that he/she should get last minute updates if any in schedule of examination,/eligibility status/venue status/others related to the recruitment process.
